Nashville is full of live music, delicious food, and friendly people! I could go back to Nashville 100 times before getting sick of it! There’s just something about it! Below are my recommendations for everything you need to do and eat in Nashville!

*Disclaimer: This article was write the first time I went to Nashville, and has since been updated with socially distance activities. As always take precaution, wear a mask, and call before visiting any of these places.

DO and SEE

Hatch Print Shop-This place invited concert posters and you will not regret going on the tour here. At the end of the tour you get to make your own poster to take home with you!

Go Bowling at Pinewood Social-Make a reservation because this place is super popular! While they offer food here (and I’ve heard its delicious) we just went for bowling and drinks!

Take a Ride on the Redneck Comedy Bus Tour-Nashville is the bachelor and bachelorette capital of the US, and you will certainly see all types of truck, tractor, bus tours, but I would recommend the Redneck Comedy bus tour. It’s about 2 hours long and in the middle they stop and let you grab drinks (assuming you didn’t stop and get some at the liquor store they pick you up at). You are free to drink during the entire tour as they show you around Nashville and make fun of you at the same time.

Find all of the Murals!- This one was located near Reese Witherspoons shop, Draper James We were lucky and there were no other people around. One of the most popular murals is a set of angel wings located in the Gultch-There will be a line. Make sure to stop there before breakfast and you shouldn’t have a problem. Use this map to help guide you!

Explore the Johnny Cash Museum-Located right off of Broadway it’s the perfect activity to break up the day and learn a little history.

Take a cooking class or sample Goo Goo Clusters Right next door to the Johnny Cash Museum Goo Goo is the perfect place to stop for a chocolaty treat! You can also take a class here and learn how to make your own!

Love Country Music? Check out the Country Music Hall of Fame-This museum holds one of the largest collections of country music memorabilia.

Go out on Broadway Street-If you didn’t hang out on Broadway Street did you really go to Nashville? The answer is no! Check out Broadway street both during the day and night time. Broadway is home to all of the famous bars and restaurants as well as cute (and tacky) shops! But if you only want to hit one bar, definitely make it a point to stop at The Stage.

Visit the Parthenon-This replica was originally built for Tennessee’s Centennial Exposition but now serves as an art museum. It sits in the middle of a beautiful park that many come to visit and just hang out in.

Go to the Pedestrian bridge-Take photos at sunset! You won’t regret it!

Grand Ole Opry-A must visit for country music fans and non country music fans alike.

Explore 12 South-12South is full of cool vintage stores, delicious places to eat, street art, and just enough options for dessert that we managed to work up an appetite again.

EAT

5 Daughter’s Bakery-Not only is this place SUPER Instagramable, the donuts aren’t half bad either ;) . These are, without a doubt, the fluffiest, crispiest donuts ever! Don’t skip this place!

Acme Feed and Seed-Located in the lower broadway area this place is just a darn good time. This multistory restaurant has a sushi bar, and live music. Built in 1890 this place is a Nashville classic.

BarTaco-We went here on your first night, and wanted to go back every day . Being from LA we are definitely taco snobs but this place is AHMAZING. Order a few (hundred?) tacos to share and definitely try their margaritas

Biscuit Love-Get here right before they open if you don’t want to wait in line. A carb heavy meal so best to start a busy day with one of these delicious biscuits, so you don’t feel guilty later!

Barista Parlor - This coffee shop was right by our Airbnb and was perfect for a pick me up. the hippest in every way possible. Huge space, tons of windows, and it’s located in what appeared to be an old car shop.

Hattie B’s-With 7 locations, this is one of the “Hottest” aka most popular hot chicken stands you will read about. Most people will wait in line for hours for Hattie B’s, however, what most people don’t know is that you can have it delivered! We’re big fans of chicken sandwiches so thats exactly what we got (but I’m sure you can’t go wrong)!

Milk and Honey-We hopped off the plane and went straight here for brunch. Everything on the menu looked delicious, and they have a few unique drinks and coffee flavors!

Otaku Ramen-Did you know that Nashville and Tokyo are on the same latitude geographically? Nope, I didn’t either until our bar tender at Otaku Ramen filled us in on what makes their ramen so good. Los Angeles has truly spoiled us with tacos and ramen but I can say that this place rivals any ramen shop in LA. So much so we went here twice in a single weekend.

The Pharmacy-Looking for a classic burger look no further. The Pharmacy has a collection of German beers and wursts as well as hand made milkshakes.

SOCIAL DISTANCE ACTIVITIES

Cheekwood Estates and Garden-Plenty of space to social distance at this 55 acre garden. Located just outside of Nashville. Here you’ll find a botanical garden, arboretum, museum, twelve gardens, and more! Right now they have a Chihuly exhibit going on as well!

Centennial Park-Is one of the most popular parks in Nashville thanks to its central location, iconic Parthenon and 132-acres that are home to dozens of local festivals and events. Looking for a unique experience? Have a picnic setup by PicnicPopUp. For $215 this company will Bring a perfectly instagram worthy picnic to you! With themes like: The Playdate, and Glam It Up, there is something for everyone.

Kayaking and Paddle boarding-30 minutes outside of Nashville you will find the Cumberland River. Check out Paddle Up Nashville to rent your paddle boards and Big Willie’s Action Sports.

Arrington Vineyards-One of the most popular local getaways this vineyard is only 40 minutes from downtown Nashville. While masks are required in the indoor spaces, they are not required when outdoors. With over 5 acres of outdoor picnic area social distancing shouldn’t be a problem!

Visit a rooftop bar: On the top of my must visit list right now is the new Dolly Parton themed rooftop at the Graduate Hotel. A reservation is required to visit White Limozeen so make sure you call ahead!

Jack Daniels Distillery-While tours have not resumed at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, there are still plenty of experiences you can have here! Tastings last around 40 minutes and range from $20-$30.
